Anti-Bullying Week 2021

Posted on: 19/11/2021

Capital City Academy has actively and proudly taken part in Anti-Bullying week. At Capital City Academy we have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards bullying. Anti-Bullying week ran from the 15th -19th November. We held year group assemblies, Odd Socks Day and had some activities for students and staff to promote this year's theme #OneKindWord

Odd Socks Day - Friday 19th November

Staff and students were encouraged to take part in Odd Socks Day - an Anti-Bullying Week initiative for people to show their individuality. Our students and staff have shown just how they are unique during Anti-Bullying Week!!

#OneKindWord

Every year the Anti Bullying Alliance has a theme to promote across schools and workplaces and we have loved this year's theme. Surveys have shown that some children don't experience kindness as often as they could. Kindness is more important today than it has ever been. The isolation of the last 2 years has underlined how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. During Anti-bullying week, staff and students took part in giving each other cards with kind words. This gesture was a part of the #OneKindWord theme to encourage each and every one of us to give a little smile to a peer or colleague.
