Visual Arts Online Learning
Posted on: 06/07/2020Visual Arts students have been keeping busy creating amazing art during the lockdown!
Students have been working on exciting projects: creating stop motion animations; creative self portraits; posters about the BLM movement; and much more! Online lessons included live demos of different fun techniques, such as how to create a repeated pattern tile or how to “paint” with found objects. These demos are now also available on our brand new YouTube channel, and the best student work is displayed on our website gallery!
Beyond the mandatory online lessons, pupils have also been taking part in our Weekly Art Challenges. These are little fun art tasks, such as creating a mindful mandala or a mini book. Through the #ccaartchallenge we have also promoted wider community initiatives, such as creating artwork to decorate the new testing site in Harlesden or designing a Super Bear celebrating NHS and key workers for a John Lewis competition.
