Year 8 Rewards Trip to the V&A Museum

Posted on: 22/01/2020

The highest achieving pupils in Year 8 were taken to the V&A Museum on Wednesday 22nd January. It was a spectacular day, which was filled with many laughs and discoveries.

Lava, a hardworking pupil, said that: “It was a fascinating way to learn about the world and the different cultures within it."

The students spent the day exploring the museum. Amongst other interesting artefacts, they had a chance to see life-sized casts of Michael Angelo’s 'David' and Rome’s 'Trajan Column' in the famous Cast Room. Pupils also explored Chinese, Japanese, Islamic Middle Eastern and South Asian art. We finished the day by creating our own textile patterns inspired by the Rococo style.
