Posted on: 20/03/2017A small group of Year 12 & 13 students travelled to Poland with Miss Hyde and Mr Pike to visit the city of Krakow and Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II - Birkenau.
The students were given the opportunity to experience the harsh reality of the Holocaust and visit the main sites. During the Holocaust 1 300 000 people, mostly Jews, were killed because of their religion and beliefs. Hans Frank (1944) said "Jews are a race that must be totally exterminated."
