Red & Pink for Valentines Day Fundraiser
Posted on: 14/02/2019On Thursday 14th February, Capital students rallied around across all year groups to donate gifts and cards, take orders for anonymous deliveries and man the valentines stalls. Year 11s & Student Parliament led the event, with many others supporting in driving customer traffic, encouraging generous donations and generally setting things up. Lots of love and good spirits were in the air and the buzz of atmosphere was really uplifting! Ms Ahmed’s generous donation of boxes upon boxes of donuts were the real crowd puller and again Ms Ahmed & Ms Newell’s bespoke sweetie gift bags were a lucrative treat!
Special thanks to Capital 6 honorary performing arts students, the Year 11 Prom committee, Year 11 Drama girls, Zak B (Year 11 security), the Year 9 performing arts group & of course the innovators; student parliament.
Staff donations were incredible and more special thanks in particular to Mr Mumuni who shared the teacher lead on this, and to Mr Wola for encouraging and boosting his year group. Over £427 has now been successfully raised and contributed towards the Year 11 prom pot - let’s keep it up!
