EAL visit to the Houses of ParliamentPosted on: 11/01/2019
Our EAL students had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament earlier this month, as part of our British Values unit. Before entering, students saw the change of guards at Buckingham Palace and were impressed by the grandiosity of the building and the soldiers costumes. They had lunch in St James Park and then headed towards the Houses of Parliament. Here, the new arrivals were shown around the building followed by an interesting educational workshop about representation and voting in the UK. They took part in different activities, voted amongst themselves and chose their own MP. Overall the students were very impressed by the architecture and enjoyed their trip.
