Announcement from the Principal
Announcement regarding the post of Principal at Capital City Academy
After 8 years as Principal at Capital City Academy I have accepted the offer of a new role to lead a Multi-Academy Trust in Hertfordshire. This means I will be leaving the Academy at the end of the Summer Term 2017. Making the decision to leave Capital has been a very difficult one given the strong relationships I have made across Brent, with staff and, of course, with our parents and students. Although this is a positive professional move, it is with a heavy heart that I will be leaving.
You will want to know what leadership arrangements are in place moving forward. I am
very pleased to announce that one of our Vice Principals, Marianne Jeanes, has agreed at the request of the Governing Body to lead the school on an interim basis. Mrs Jeanes will be supported by three Vice Principals who will take responsibility for the curriculum, behaviour for learning and achievement. She is an experienced colleague with an excellent track record and in whom the staff and I have full confidence. Of course she will need the same support from parents and students which I have valued immensely.
Ms Jeanes may be contacted via the Principal’s PA, Ms Leila Khan, on 020 8838
8728 or via email email@example.com.
There is a bright future ahead for the Academy. The Trust and Governing Body have
exciting plans for the school and I look forward to hearing about these over the next few years.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support.
