On Tuesday 17th June Capital City Academy hosted its first ‘Higher Education Conference’. Year 12 Students heard from a number of visiting speakers including Brunel University and Peter Boursnell, the Brent Co-ordinator for Aim Higher. The day included sessions on writing a successful personal statement and applying for student finance. We were also extremely privileged to host Andy Gardner, a true expert in the field of Higher Education, who advised students on how to research the best universities and courses for them.
Students were given a wealth of essential information and expert guidance throughout the day and are now ready to spend the summer researching courses, attending university open days and writing their personal statement.
As ever, the Sixth Form students were a credit to the school and we’re looking forward to supporting them throughout the University applications process and on to many successes in the future.
