Welcome to Year 11 at Capital City Academy!

Dear Students, Parents and Carers,

Capital City is very impressed with the way that the year eleven students have started the year.  While walking around the school it is clear that the students have a high level of academic focus and are acting as positive role models for younger students.

Our target setting morning on Friday September 3^rd was a huge success.  Our inspiring speakers and target setting activity  enabled students to question their achievement to date and predict realistic yet aspirational targets to achieve this term.  Students also explored the link between achievement and attendance. 

All students completed a booklet during the morning which they will be bring home for you to discuss with them, sign then send back to school over the next week.

Each half term students will have an opportunity to nominate, vote for and fundraise for a new charity.  This half term the year eleven students have voted to fund-raise for Cancer Research UK. 

The clubs and classes timetable is now being finalised, can you please encourage students to sign up for booster lessons and extra support from next week.  Students will have a copy of the complete timetable in their planners by next week.
