| When The Storyteller Came! |
|
Last Wednesday on 27th January, Xanthe Gresham, a storyteller came in to work with us in the library. She told us a short story and a long story which took us up to 3 periods. As I walked into the library, I was really looking forward to it when I saw all of the props, like instruments, music, robes and cloth, and she was playing the accordion. The story she told us was from Iran which I thought was interesting, including the Demons, Kings, and Heroes that were in the story. We got to get involved in the story and acted it out, which I thought was excellent because I got to be the queen. After the storyteller told us all of the epic stories, we went to a table to create our own stories using objects. At first, I thought it was going to be really hard but then, when I really got into it, it was easy. We used feathers, string, felt and lots of other materials, After we finished making them, we got to get videoed, I was scared at first when it was my turn but I soon got brave. I also told mine to the whole class which loved the story as much as I did. This was the best experience of my time in CCA and I would love to do it again.
