Vision & Aims

dilan_patel_website.jpgWe have an excellent record of A - level and University application success. 85% of students progress to university each year. Our aim is to continue and improve on this. The Sixth Form team are always on hand to assist students with their educational pathways through a program of support including, higher education conferences, 1-1 academic monitoring, special parents meetings and newsletters, arranged visits to universities, personal statement advice and timetabled UCAS application sessions.

Opportunities

We work in partnership with Queen's Park Community School which allows us to offer a much broader range of courses as well as sharing resources and expertise. This also enables our students to build new relationships with other young people and staff.

The Sixth Form also offers a variety of other enrichment activities including volunteering in the community, residential visits, internships and arts & sporting events.

Challenge & Expectations

Life in the Sixth Form at Capital is full of opportunities and challenges. Students need to be aware of the move from GCSE to A - Levels and the different demands and commitment that this entails.

As a member of the Sixth Form the expectations are high and although there are privileges in being a senior member of the school, students are expected to act as role models, set standards for the rest of the school and lead by example.
