School Uniform & Equipment

By coming to school in your correct uniform you show that you are proud to be a member of Capital City Academy. By wearing it correctly around school, you show that you are committed to working maturely in a professional environment. You should always wear full uniform when coming to and leaving school. You can wear a plain black or blue jacket (no leather or denim) if you want to.

Boys

• Capital jacket (not your PE jacket)
• Either long-sleeved shirt with collar or Polo-shirt in year group colour
• Capital Sweatshirt
• Navy blue trousers (not black)
• Black leather shoes (no canvas or leather trainers)

YOU SHOULD NEVER wear a cap or hoody or sweatshirt to school - it will be confiscated

Girls

• Capital Jacket
• Either long-sleeved shirt with collar or Polo-shirt in year group colour
• Capital Sweatshirt
• Blue box pleat skirt
• OR navy blue (not Black) cotton trousers. These should not be tight fitting, or contain lycra
• Black Shoes (low heel) - no boots, no canvas or leather trainers.
• Head scarves should be plain blue or black
• Plain tights in tan or black, or plain white or black socks

If you wear trainers without a note you will be sent home.

Physical Education and Dance Kit - Boys and Girls

• Capital PE T-shirt or polo shirt in your House colour
• Capital tracksuit bottoms or fleece shorts
• Capital Sweatshirt/ PE jacket (optional)
• Trainers

Jewellery

Jewellery can be dangerous, it is easily lost and we prefer you not to wear any. If you really want to, you can wear...

• One ring, one pair of simple stud earrings, a watch

Any other jewellery will be confiscated, and you may have to wait until the end of term to get it back.

Piercings

We do not allow any facial piercings, or more than one piercing in your ear. You will be asked to remove any piercings, even if they have just been done. If you will not remove them you will be placed in internal exclusion or sent home.

Equipment

- Pencil case (preferably clear)    - Blue and black pens (more than one of each)

- Green pen                               - Pencils (more than one)

- Ruler                                       - Protractor

- Compass                                - Sharpener

- Rubber                                    - Calculator

- Students are also advised to carry a dictionary.

• Bags - large (to fit at least an A4 folder and PE kit)
• And any other equipment the school deem necessary
