I.C.T. (Information & Communication Technology)
ICT at Capital City is an exciting and eye-opening subject. At Key Stage 3 students study a wide range of office and design packages, from Word Processing to Animation and Spreadsheets to Web Design, as well as discover the uses of control systems as they design traffic lights and theme park rides. In Year 9, some students will have the opportunity to gain the Award In Digital Application, which is worth 1 GCSE. At Key Stage 4, pupils will take the Diploma in Digital Applications (worth 4 GCSEs), which will build on the work that they have done within Key Stage 3 and include things such as web and graphic design, databases and report writing. We also offer AS and A2 ICT at CCA, as well as DiDA for those students who did not take this option at Key Stage 4. Please see the AQA websitefor further details on AS or A2 qualifications and the Edexcel DiDA website for information on the AiDA/DiDA qualification. | These items are in Portable Document Format (PDF).
