| Useful Careers Based programmes available within CCA‘To find out more about different careers and the qualifications required, watch videos or to find out which jobs may be suited to your interest, use the Careers software available in school’. From any PC in the school go to START >> ALL PROGRAMS >> CAREERS to launch any of the following programmes:- | | |  | Careerscape Multimedia is an innovative careers information package for young people and adults. High quality information is provided on over 1800 careers including a range of exciting features such as video footage, photographs and real-life case studies. Careerscape also includes lifestyle articles on social issues such as 'Drugs and Young People' and 'Homelessness and Young People' to assist with the broader issues advisers now have to deal with.
Careerscape has over 90 Career Families, which group careers within specific occupational areas, such as 'Shops and Distribution'. High quality video footage illustrates over 270 careers. Over 60 general articles look at issues in education, training and employment such as 'Finding Work on the Internet'. 50 Subject Link articles provide links between specific careers and GNVQ, GCSE and A level subjects such as 'What can I do with Geology?'
Careerscape Multimedia now includes information on 50,000 UCAS Higher Education courses and the institutions which run them. This includes degrees, Foundation Degrees, HNDs, HNCs and Higher Education diplomas. It is possible to access course information via a career allowing users to plan their route through study into their chosen career. Course information is also accessible via a search facility that takes into account Keywords, Region and Type of course. | | |
