PSHE and Citizenship
At Capital City Academy the personal development of students is a fundamental part of the school ethos. We want to develop students spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, ensure they are treated as individuals, are aspirational and are informed and self-aware British citizens who respects its values, institutions and rules of law.
The Values curriculum including weekly assembly’s is delivered during Learning Advisor Times. There are also two off timetable Flexidays. In it the students develop a range of skills and attitudes including all aspects of the PSHE curriculum including the statutory elements of puberty at Y7 and Sex and Relationships Education in Y10 and Y11, and Citizenship Curriculum that will help them be successful both within the school and beyond.
