Capital 6: post 16 excellence with a broad range of pathways, sporting academies and inspiring student leaders
We work our hardest at Capital 6 to guarantee the best opportunities for our students. We have a range of pathways that support the highest level of academic progress and develop transferable skills for the wider world. We foster sporting excellence, artistic creativity and aspiration to professional and technically skilled employment.
We are proud of our students’ excellent outcomes in A levels and in our applied general courses: our students go on to attend prestigious universities including the ‘Russell Group’; a growing number secure apprenticeships with the UK’s biggest companies. We are consistently placed in the top 10% of providers nationally for our BTEC Extended Diplomas, offered in a wide range of subject areas. In September 2022 we are very excited to launch our first T levels within the Health & Science T route.
Students are valued and known as individuals and given the opportunity to be role models and leaders for our community, both our Capital Community and as global citizens. Parents and carers play a vital role at the Academy and this partnership continues at Capital 6. We welcome and expect active involvement from parents and carers in the education of the students not only through parent meetings, academic review days and information evenings.
Capital 6 has gone from strength to strength with increasing numbers, improving results and international sporting recognition. Through the years we have an impressive alumni network, ready to inspire the next generation. A choice of courses is available at Capital 6 and through the SBC6 - the South Brent Sixth Form Consortium. We are confident that when you visit Capital 6, talk to our students, hear first-hand about the opportunities and successes of our sixth form and see the wonderful facilities - you will want to join us.
