Capital 6: post-16 excellence with a broad range of pathways, sporting academies and inspiring student leaders
We work our hardest at Capital 6 to guarantee the best opportunities for our students. There are a range of sixth form pathways that support the highest level of academic progress and develop transferable skills for the wider world. Our values foster sporting excellence, artistic creativity and aspiration to professional and technical skilled employment.
We are proud of our students’ excellent outcomes in A levels and in our applied general courses: our students go on to attend prestigious universities including those within ‘Russell Group’; a growing number secure apprenticeships with the UK’s biggest companies. We are consistently placed in the top 10% of providers nationally for our BTEC Extended Diplomas, offered in a wide range of subject areas.
In September 2022, we successfully launched our first T levels with the Health & Science T level route and we are excited to add Education & Childcare to our T Level offering in September 2023.
Students are valued as individuals and given the opportunity to be role models and leaders, both within our Capital Community and as global citizens. Parents and carers play a vital role at the Academy and this partnership continues at Capital 6. We welcome and expect active involvement from parents and carers in the education of our students through parent meetings, academic review days and information evenings.
Capital 6 has gone from strength to strength with increasing numbers, improving results and international sporting recognition. We now have an impressive alumni network, ready to inspire the next generation. A choice of courses is available at Capital 6 and also through the SBC6: the South Brent Sixth Form Consortium. We are confident that when you visit Capital 6, talk to our students, hear first-hand about the successes of our sixth form and see the wonderful facilities; you will want to join us.
