Jamieâs Farm Residential TripPosted on: 27/06/2022
A small group of Year 8 and 9 students were offered a fantastic opportunity to stay at Jamie’s Farm in Bath for a week. The students became self-sufficient, participated in a range of daily activities, including farming, tending to the chickens, cooking, gardening, log chopping, therapeutic horse work, building a goat pen and even walking in the countryside. Everyone quickly adapted to the change of daily routine and learnt to enjoy the time spent with the animals, with each other and without their phones. The head of Jamie’s Farm said that the students “were positive and supportive of each other. They all individually made some real progress, pushing through their individual challenges and making the most of the opportunity”.
As the former Head of Year 9, I could not have been more proud of all the students and I know that being at the farm was a valuable experience that none of us will forget.
