Primary School Project 'Colour in Science'

Brentfield Primary School and Donnington Primary School visited Capital City Academy this month as part of the Primary School Project 'Colour in Science'. Year 5 students were given an opportunity to learn interesting scientific facts by experimenting with different materials that reacted in surprising ways. They discovered that many experiments could be done using simple ingredients and could be replicated at home with adult supervision. The young scientists loved the chance to learn through being hands-on and finding things out for themselves — the perfect way to understand the world around them. They were excited about studying science in CCA in the future and for some the lesson kindled their passion for science as a potential professional career opportunity.
