On-site hot meals provision during lockdown

As of Friday 5th February students attending Capital during our onsite lockdown provision have been offered a hot meal free of charge. These delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals are delivered daily and provided by the world’s largest charity-run school meals project – Akshaya Patra.

Akshaya Patra charity is a winner of The Food Chain Global Champion Award, having started its midday meals programme in 2000 and providing 1,500 free school lunches daily. Today they feed over 1.76 million children and remain firm in their belief that no child should be deprived of education because of hunger.

This is an incredible provision and we are extremely grateful for their support.
