EAL ProjectsPosted on: 08/02/2021
Our EAL students have been coming into school every Monday and Wednesday during this period of lockdown. All the students have been involved in a lovely Art project they decided to do in class. The aim was to paint a mosaic on a piece of cardboard. Before starting, the students have carefully made their plan and combined different colours to add to their paintings. Many were amazed by the colours they created and were interested to learn more about Art and the way painters used a variety of colours in their work. Some of the students chose the colours of their flag to create their mosaics. Here are some of their masterpieces.
Beads/Keyring Making Session
The EAL students took part in a beads/keyring project lead by Ms Penn. Through this project, they learned to act and think like designers and artists, working intelligently and creatively in order to produce their bracelets/keyrings. Through arts and craft, children learn to value and appreciate artefacts and images across cultures and times. Therefore, they carefully chose their beads and created the most beautiful bracelets for themselves or for their siblings. They have all enjoyed working together as a team and later on they presented their work and explained what it represents for them and why they have chosen those specific colours.
