A big thank you for the fantastic donations

Posted on: 04/02/2021

We have been incredibly touched by the very generous donations we have received to support our students during this challenging period of lockdown.

We were delighted to receive a donation of 30 PCs from the ‘Every Child Online’ charity who are supporting schools to give all students the opportunity to have the right tools to distance learn at home (https://everychildonline.co.uk/).

We received 30 laptops from the Saracens Foundation's Digital Divide Campaign who are working in collaboration with several corporate partners, to deliver unused and professionally wiped laptops and tablets to children and young people across North London and Hertfordshire through schools, pupil referral units and community groups in order to support and improve the quality of their virtual learning experience.

Our social media campaign for IT support for our students has also brought in approximately £6000 in donations, many of these anonymous, to provide more laptops for our students.  This is brilliant and, as fast as we can find available Chromebooks, we are buying them and handing them out!

We are very grateful to Rodney Nelson-Jones, a local resident, whose hugely generous donation has allowed us to buy more than £3000 worth of laptops for students working at home. Other kind donations have come in from the local community including 3 chromebooks from Carola Chataway, a monetary donation from Jack Weller and support in the purchase of a laptop from A.Sheppardson.

School staff have also gone above and beyond by donating laptops and the school would like to thank Mr George, Mr Boreham, Miss Bernard, Miss Guimaraes, Miss Tarasiewecz and Miss Hersi for their generosity.
