Capital 6 Sixth Form Year 11 Event

Wednesday 11th November 2020 3pm - 5pm

Our Capital 6 Sixth Form Year 11 Event is a little different this year, as we welcome our Year 11 students to discover the exciting range of courses that are on offer at Capital 6, the sixth form at Capital City Academy.

At the event our students will be able to meet C6 teachers and current students, find out about our sixth form courses and hear from Capital 6 students: both past and present. They will collect essential information and receive advice on how to make an application. There is an extensive range of courses on offer in sixth forms and colleges, so it is important that Year 11 students make the most of the event so that they are as well informed as possible about the next step in their education.

The event starts immediately after school at 3pm as the schedule is as follows:

• A Capital 6 presentation, by Mrs Jeanes, Mr Manandhar, Capital 6 Alumni and our current C6 students
• Year 11 Capital Asset Event in C6 Study Area [by invitation]
• Guidance on our application to Capital 6
• Aspens Sixth Form Cafe - A Taster
• Capital 6 Subject Stands
• Sports Academies & displays from our Visual Arts Department
• Capital 6 Gift Bag & Prospectus

Our Year 11 students will have an opportunity to speak to a member of the leadership team about their application to sixth form.  All our students will have an appointment with our impartial careers advisor about their next steps after their GCSE exams.

We are really sorry that we cannot invite parents, or Year 11 applicants from other schools. We very much hope that in the new year we can organise a time for parents to visit the Academy so that any questions about Capital 6 and sixth form studies can be answered.
