Students at Capital have been able to take part in careers activities during school closure in a variety of ways, from finding out more about apprenticeships, careers in the creative industries, quizzes and virtual tours of universities, virtual taster days and fairs, and online summer schools such as UNIQ (Oxford University).
Our Year 12 students have been taking part in online Futures Activities - an informative programme to prepare them for their options after sixth form.
Years 10 and 11: unsure about what to do next?
When it comes to the question of what to do following GCSEs there are many options to think about. The Department for Education has put together a short video to inform young people and their parents about the options open to them.
At Capital City, we use Unifrog which is a complete career and destinations platform – a one-stop-shop for students across KS3, KS4 and KS5 regardless of their interests or academic ability.
Students should be reminded they must be using Unifrog regularly:
If they have not logged in before or have forgotten their password for the Unifrog platform they need to reset their password to gain access: www.unifrog.org/reset-password
The username is the student’s school email address e.g. email@example.com
