Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students produce and present two course meal
Posted on: 11/02/2020The Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students have been revising the topic of job roles in industry. To give students a more hands on approach they were given a brief to produce a “fine dining” two-course birthday meal for someone who would have the meal cooked in their home by contract caterers.
Groups were chosen randomly and the students needed to allocate job roles: Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chef de Parties.
The students had 1 hour and 20 minutes to produce a two-course meal and present their dishes to the judges – thank you Ms Lee and Mr Straker.
The students showed focus, creativity and an ability to work under pressure. The winning team was Kinga K (Head Chef), Denisa C (Sous Chef), Alicia T (Chef de Partie), and Amina A (Chef de Partie). Well done!
