Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students produce and present two course meal

The Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students have been revising the topic of job roles in industry. To give students a more hands on approach they were given a brief to produce a “fine dining” two-course birthday meal for someone who would have the meal cooked in their home by contract caterers.  

Groups were chosen randomly and the students needed to allocate job roles: Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chef de Parties.

The students had 1 hour and 20 minutes to produce a two-course meal and present their dishes to the judges – thank you Ms Lee and Mr Straker.

The students showed focus, creativity and an ability to work under pressure. The winning team was Kinga K (Head Chef), Denisa C (Sous Chef), Alicia T (Chef de Partie), and Amina A (Chef de Partie). Well done!
