Monthly feature: meet some of our Capital staff teamPosted on: 02/12/2019
Name: Hannah Heyes
Current Job Title: Welfare Officer and step-in Attendance Officer
Where did you grow up: Willesden, London.
What was your favourite subject at school: Maths
What made you decide to work in a school: Most of my family members are in the teaching profession, from support staff to vice-principals. I have always wanted a job where I walked away at the end of the day with satisfaction, knowing that I have helped. I love working with the students and the knowledge I have gained in my roles.
What are your hobbies outside of work: I love family time and spend as much time with my daughter as possible. We like going on adventures and watching movies.
What encouraged you to apply to work at Capital: Coming from the local area and attending Willesden High and Capital City Academy myself, I love that I can work with the students and staff whilst utilising my understanding of the area and community.
What have been some of your highlights: Being able to support the students with medical conditions to ensure their physical and mental needs are met so that they are best supported in school. I want to make sure the students and their parents feel safe.
