Year 13 VTCT Residential Trip to the Peak District

Posted on: 18/11/2019

Year 13 students have returned to CCA after a very successful mountain walking trip in the Peak District National Park. The students were assessed in navigational and leadership skills over two routes which involved over 20 miles of walking!

The students performed brilliantly in dry but very cold conditions. Miss Clarke wasn't particularly impressed when she fell into a peat bog but apart from that minor hiccup there were lots of smiling faces throughout!

Andrew explains, 'It was a life changing experience and something I'll never forget'.

Ahmed was equally enthusiastic and told us, 'My favourite part of the trip were the views of the hills and mountains from the summit'.

This residential was part of the Level 3 VTCT Outdoor and Adventurous unit which all students came through with flying colours. I am very proud of their effort and focus which led to another successful trip.

Well done!
