Jake in Year 11 represents Capital at the House of Lords

Posted on: 15/11/2019

We were very proud of Jake in Year 11 who was invited by the Youth Sports Trust to represent Capital and Brent Local Peoples' Group at the House of Lords this month.

The event celebrated young leaders who are improving the wellbeing of their peers by inspiring them to be more active. Building on the government’s School Sport and Activity Action Plan, the children’s charity the Youth Sport Trust is empowering young leaders to tackle inactivity and improve wellbeing through inclusive sport and play. This includes working in partnership across the UK with schools, leading sports organisations like the FA, charities and government.

Jake met and spoke to a number of key people including Baroness Tani Grey Thompson. He was a great role model for all our young people.
