Harlesden Primary School sessions

Capital City Academy’s sixth formers are taking part in a 6-week art programme with Harlesden Primary School. Capital 6 Art Leaders have been delivering exciting art lessons to curious year 5 pupils as part of an art project organised by CCA’s Director of Arts, Miss Lee.

The introductory session was held at Capital City Academy on 1st November, while the other sessions were delivered at Harlesden Primary School. The project aims to develop the young pupils’ artistic skills and curiosity by concentrating on natural shapes to introduce different techniques, ranging from watercolour painting to ceramic modelling.

Furthermore, it provides the Capital 6 Art Leaders with an opportunity to gain work experience in Arts Education, developing their leadership, time-management and communication skills which are invaluable in today’s jobs market, whether within The Arts or beyond.
