'Say No to Knife Crime' EventPosted on: 12/10/2019
Criminal barrister, Helen Valley, former student of the then Willesden High School (before the new name of Capital City Academy was born), invited Capital students to attend a ‘Say No to Knife Crime’ event this Saturday.
A group of lawyers who have day-to-day experience in this area put together an event which was aimed at young people from a wide range of schools. This took place at the historic Inns of Court buildings in Temple.
Miss Wine selected Zara, Zchenelle and Mirianne from C6 to experience the medical and criminal aspects of knife crime. She also invited Student Parliament member, Salmah, and Year 9 student, Connor, to represent the Academy.
All students thoroughly embraced the opportunity and received impeccable feedback.
Helen Valley said: ‘The students were fully engaged with the event and spoke to panel members and other young people attending. They were a credit to Capital City Academy.’
