South Korean journalists visit Capital

Posted on: 01/07/2019

On the 1st July, 3 South Korean Journalists visited Capital along with an interpreter. They were interested in our education system, the educational environment and Academy design to compare with their much smaller schools in South Korea where students spend most of their time in the classroom and have no outdoor facilities. They reported that the South Korea's Education Ministry were preparing to make an allocation of 8 billion Wons for school remodeling to improve the education environment in South Korea.

They were really overwhelmed by our facilities and the outdoor space and how much our students enjoy their break times. They told us that in Korea children go to school from 7am until 10pm some days! They thanked us and said that they got much more from their visit than they had expected; taking loads of pictures of the building along the way. Their visit included a meeting with a group of students from student parliament and the Principal where they were keen to learn more about our school. They really enjoyed hearing about what the students like about Capital City Academy and comparing the differences between school in Korea and England. The next day they visited Foster & Partners, our architects to learn more about the ideas behind the design of Capital!
