The Student View workshops

Last week, a group of Year 10 students took part in the first of three workshops with The Student View, a journalism and media charity. Students found out a wealth of information about the world of journalism and were visited by a guest from CNBC.

The group then split into pairs to plan their own articles. Robin, who is leading the project, is going to undertake some research and provide feedback on the students' ideas in preparation for the next session in March.

The guest speaker was full of positive feedback for our fantastic students: "The Year 10s at Capital City Academy really impressed me yesterday. They were attentive and responsive, and fully engaged with Robin and the content of the class. They were all very polite and came across as bright and intelligent pupils with exciting futures ahead of them. In summary, they were a credit to your school.”
