Year 11 Work Experience with Notting Hill GenesisPosted on: 16/11/2018
In July 2018 our Year 11 students had the opportunity to apply for work experience with Notting Hill Genesis during October half term.
Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) works communities, providing homes for lower-income households. This is their primary purpose, and everything else they do supports this aim. They are one of the largest housing associations in London and the south-east, providing homes for around 170,000 people in some 55,000 properties across the capital and a further 9,000 in the home counties and East Anglia. They formed in April 2018 from Notting Hill Housing and Genesis Housing Association.
Seven of our Year 11 students attended a placement during half term week. Students were issued with detailed job description and duties for the week which included an induction event held at Atelier House in Camden, during which the students were introduced to the organisation and took part in ice-breakers before meeting their supervisors for the week.
The students then spent the rest of the week getting some great work experience in various departments across the business including: IT, Regeneration, Facilities, Policy, Neighbourhoods and Marketing.
Well done to those that took part also to all the students who took the time and the opportunity to apply for work experience during October half term.
