BCRB Trip to Skills London at the Excel

As the Year 11 BCRB group we have the intention to better ourselves in and out of school and we are guided as students into the best educational path, being provided with access to extra learning in their core subjects during Saturday School with Ms Onisemo.

I had been carrying out research on careers fairs and I suggested that we should go to Excel London which is the venue for 'Skills London'. Skills London is where a variety of colleges, sixth forms, businesses and potential apprenticeship attend to share opportunities for young people to encourage them to find a job that they have a passion or an interest for.

We organised a trip to Skills London and took 16 students who attend Saturday school. All of us returned with physical information, such as leaflets, and additional information about the different opportunities on offer. Some of us even signed up for apprenticeships.

Our trip to Skills London was an overall success for us as students and it expanded our knowledge and made us understand the seriousness of the future ahead.
