Ballet Black perform at Capital

On Monday 26th June, we were extremely lucky to welcome Ballet Black to Capital.

Ballet Black is a professional ballet company for international dancers of black and Asian descent. They aim to bring ballet to a more culturally diverse audience by celebrating black and Asian dancers in ballet. They perform and offer community driven classes for dancers and students, young and old. Their ultimate goal is to see a fundamental change in the number of black and Asian dancers in mainstream ballet companies, making that vision wonderfully unnecessary.

Students and staff alike enjoyed the performances and many students were given the opportunity to speak directly to the dancers at the end!

We hope to see Ballet Black perform again soon.
